The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton
The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton
The latest commemorative item to hit the shelves before the Royal Wedding is a limited edition ‘Princess Catherine Engagement Doll’.
On sale in London toy store Hamleys, the themed fashion figurine comes with a blue dress modelled on Kate’s famous engagement Issa number.
Dressed and accessorised by seven award-winning British designers she comes complete with an exact replica of Kate’s Eaton clutch bag, with gold mock snakeskin leather effect, horseshoe clasp and gold chain.
Her slingback high-heeled shoes are reportedly inspired by British shoe maker Beatrix Ong and even feature a miniature label on the insole.
A fascinator is also included, similar to others that the hat enthusiast Kate has worn, and her engagement ring is made of real amethyst.
And the bride-to-be should be pleased with her figurine which boasts long brown glossy hair, a welcoming smile and a slim, trim figure.
The dolls don’t come cheap at £34.95 each – but with only 10,000 in existence they will no doubt become a collector’s item.
Available at Hamleys, Harrods and other retailers, £1 from each purchase will go to Help For Heroes.
The market for Royal Wedding memorabilia has gone through the roof in the lead-up to 29 April with mugs, tea towels, cuff links, sick bags, condoms and even Kate and Wills-themed fridges on sale.
